Manchester United will be looking to end the Premier League season on a high when they travel to face Brighton in their penultimate match of the campaign on Saturday evening.
Ralf Rangnick's side were much improved in their 3-0 victory over Brentford on Monday night and will be searching for another three points as a springboard for the summer window.
United have won each of their last seven meetings with Brighton in all competitions, their longest ongoing winning run against another current Premier League side, while the hosts have failed to win any of their last eight Premier League home games (D4 L4) since a 2-0 victory over Brentford on Boxing Day.
In terms of early team news, club captain Harry Maguire could return for the clash, but Marcus Rashford will miss the match through illness.
United played well against Brentford, so if there were going to be any changes they would have been at a minimum. That Rangnick has named an unchanged team is not a surprise. McTominay is fortunate to be starting again and Alvaro Fernandez’s wait for a debut continues but it is a predictable XI.
The ‘rest’ rhetoric surrounding Harry Maguire at Arsenal two weeks ago cannot be revived today. He was dropped then and he remains dropped.
